Temple of Isis Site Help - Uploading and Managing Images

The bottom link in the control panel and on the right side of the Edit Toolbar in the Edit Temple Web Page and Edit Blog forms brings you to a simple interface to upload images for use in your temple blog or Temple Web page. You are allowed up to 10 images in any valid image format (.jpg, .gif, .png) and can view, delete, or upload new images as required.

To upload images to your account, you simply type in a name for the image in the title field and browse your computer for the image file. Any web-compatible image file is supported - jpeg, gif, or png - but non-web file formats such as tiff, eps, video, or other files will be rejected.

If it's taking too long to upload an image: Although this web site automatically sizes images for the web, it is a good idea to scale down your images to approximately 600 pixels wide and a maximum of 100 KB in file size if you know how. Otherwise it may take an unusual amount of time to upload your images.

Setting the image width or height is optional. If you do not size your images, they will default to the maximum of 500 px width or 500 px height. This is to avoid "blowing up" your web page by having the images exceed the template width.

Additionally, this option allows you to format several smaller images across the page and affords a greater control over your web page and blog layout. Feel free to experiment with various image sizes for your images.
